For buyers
- Always pay through Bostrobazar checkout — never send money directly via bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer to a seller you met on the platform.
- Check the seller's badge, ratings, and reviews before buying high-value items.
- Inspect your order at the time of delivery, especially for electronics and gold jewellery.
- Use Cash on Delivery for your first purchase from a new seller if you're unsure.
- Report any listing that looks too good to be true — our team reviews reports within 4 hours.
For sellers
- Only ship an item after Bostrobazar has confirmed payment on your dashboard.
- Never share OTPs, your NID number, or bank/MFS PINs with anyone — our team will never ask for them.
- Photograph the item and packaging before handing it to the courier. This protects you in case of a dispute.
- Use the courier's tracking QR — it's the only proof of dispatch we accept for insurance claims.
- Write accurate descriptions and mark any defects. Honest listings get 3× more repeat buyers.

'Pay outside the app for a discount'
A classic scam. The moment you pay outside Bostrobazar, buyer protection is void. Always check out inside the app.
'Share this OTP to confirm delivery'
OTPs are for logging into your own account. Nobody — courier, seller, or 'support agent' — needs your OTP to complete a delivery.
Fake 'Bostrobazar' calls or SMS
We never call to ask for your password or PIN. Real support only replies through the in-app chat or from @bostrobazar.com emails.
Empty box or wrong item on delivery
Refuse the delivery, take a photo of the parcel, and open a dispute within 24 hours. You'll be refunded in full.
